For horse owners and handlers who want to understand their horses better and support their wellbeing safely and confidently.

⭐ Level 1 — Foundation Certificate — €2,500
The philosophical, scientific and clinical foundations of equine rehabilitation — and the beginning of a completely different way of thinking about horses.
• Philosophy, ethics, psychology and behaviour
• Anatomy, physiology and fascia fundamentals
• Introduction to techniques and assessment
• Knowing when and who to refer to
Assessment: case studies and online theory examination
Duration: 6 to 9 months — some complete in as little as 4
Prerequisite: none
⭐⭐ Level 2 — Practitioner Certificate — €4,500
Full clinical practice — the techniques, the conditions, the team and the cases.
• Full techniques — manual, machines and movement
• Orthopaedics, neurology, saddle fitting and foot care
• Handling the team around the horse
• Building a sustainable practice
• Extended project — a deep independent exploration of something that genuinely interests you
Assessment: practice journal (70 horses), OSCE, tutorials and theory examination
Duration: 12 to 18 months
Prerequisite: Level 1 or APL
⭐⭐⭐ Level 3 — Advanced Clinical Certificate — €3,500
Complex cases, advanced techniques and a dissertation on something that keeps you awake at night.
• Advanced and specialist techniques
• Complex and neurological case management
• Holistic approaches examined critically and integrated
• Dissertation — 15,000 to 25,000 words on your chosen subject
Assessment: dissertation, advanced case portfolio and examination
Duration: 12 to 18 months
Prerequisite: Level 2
Graduates admitted to The Whole Horse Practitioner Registry
🏆 Teacher & Licensee Pathway
For our most experienced graduates — the opportunity to carry The Whole Horse Method into new regions, new countries and new communities.

• Listed as an approved teacher and licensee
Annual licence fee: €2,000
Prerequisites: Level 3 completion, minimum 2 years clinical practice, extended portfolio, mentored teaching component
The Practitioner Registry
On completing Level 3 every graduate is invited to join The Whole Horse Institute Practitioner Registry — a publicly listed register of certified equine rehabilitation therapists committed to evidence informed, whole horse practice.
• Listed publicly so horse owners and vets can find them
• Display The Whole Horse Institute quality mark
• Maintain listing through annual CPD — 100 points, broadly and flexibly defined
• Belong to an ongoing professional community
As regulation of our profession approaches — and we believe it is coming — our graduates will be ready for it.

Every month there is a personal one to one tutorial with Ailsa.
Ten times a year there are practical weekends in the beautiful Ångermanland region of northern Sweden — where you work with real horses presenting real cases, eat together in the evenings and build the kind of professional friendships that last careers.
Most years there is the chance to take part in a rider's clinic.
Each year students visit a local herd of Nakota horses — a rare American heritage breed kept in near-wild conditions — which is one of the most extraordinary learning experiences the programme offers.
Payment Options
All fees are exclusive of Swedish MOMS (VAT) at 25%, added to all invoices. Fees are invoiced in Swedish Kronor at the prevailing exchange rate.
• Full payment — 5% discount on balance after deposit
• Instalments — flexible monthly payments, continuing through any agreed pause
• Deposit — required to secure your place on each level
• APL assessment — €150 for accreditation of prior learning
